Find your needle
How do I know which is the replacement needle for my turntable?
At Loudness we help you find the exact needle model for your turntable. It seems simple, but there are actually more than 400 different needles, and therefore we need some information to find the one you need for your turntable.
To do this, you need to take a photo of your record player and the cartridge or needle. Not sure what we're talking about? We'll explain:
As you can see in the following image, all record players consist of an arm that allows the needle to move along the record. Not all are like the one in the image, they come in different shapes. Take a general photo that allows us to see the arm and the platter.
At the free end of the arm you will find the capsule and the needle placed in it. There are also models with an integrated capsule with a needle, in any case you can photograph the combination of both.
Are you still wondering what model your turntable is? It is usually labeled on the outside, but if not, you can check it on the back.
Now, to summarise, we mainly need the following:
- Brand and model of the record player/turntable.
